NINE DEEEZ NITE
nine deeez nite at bar anticipation

nine deeez nite at bar anticipationNine Deeez Nite isn’t your everyday, run-of-the-mill cover band. Nine Deeez Nite prides themselves on delivering an exciting flashback of 90’s nostalgia to the tri-state area.

From Pearl Jam to The Presidents of the United States of America, their set list keeps the audience rockin’ to songs they love and songs they have forgotten they love.

The fun never stops with Nine Deeez Nite. In between sets, the fan-favorite “Nine Deeez Mega Mix Dance Party” keeps people dancing.

The audience is also part of the show. A lucky fan will test their 90’s knowledge with “Nine Deeez Trivia” and could win authentic 90’s memorabilia.

For the 30 year-old reliving college days to the now 20 year-old reminiscing childhood memories, “90’s Night with Nine Deeez Nite “ is one excellent adventure.

THE 5th ANNUAL BIG MAN’S BIRTHDAY BASH AT BAR ANTICIPATION ON JANUARY 7, 2017

Lake Como, NJ – On January 7, 2017, the Jersey Shore celebrates the birthday of

the late and legendary, Clarence Clemons, with THE 5th ANNUAL BIG MAN’S BIRTHDAY BASH at Bar Anticipation in Lake Como, NJ.  The event presents a historic gathering of All-Star, legendary musicians and will benefit CFC Loud N Clear and TOPAC (The Overdose Prevention Agency Corporation), both recognized 501(c)(3), non-profit organizations that support those addicted to drugs.

This year’s 5th Anniversary show, which runs all day and night, will feature headliners:

  • Gary U.S. Bonds – an American rhythm and blues and rock and roll legend, known for classic hits such as “New Orleans “and “Quarter to Three” and his Springsteen-produced records of the 1980’s.  Bonds will be making his first appearance at the annual Big Man Birthday Bash.

  • John Cafferty and Tunes – Cafferty is the front man for The Beaver Brown Band, known for classic hits from the “Eddie and The Cruisers” soundtrack, such as “On the Darkside” and “Tender Years.”  Michael “Tunes” Antunes joins his lifetime bandmate, Cafferty.  Tunes was the lone member of Beaver Brown to actually appear as a character in the film.  He is also one of the Jersey Shore’s most loved and respected sax men, despite the band’s Rhode Island roots.  Cafferty and Tunes return to the Big Man Birthday Bash for the first time together since 2013.

  • John Eddie and His Dirty Ol’ Band – Virginia-born, New Jersey-raised, Nashville-based John Eddie is an achieved singer/songwriter and legendary Shore performer.  John Eddie makes his first appearance at the annual Big Man Birthday Bash.

  • The BIG RoaD All Star Band – a ten-piece, BIG band of Shore All-Star musicians fronting regional stars to include J.T. Bowen (former lead singer for Clemons’s Red Bank Rockers), JoBonanno (Godsons of Soul), Jillian Rhys McCoy (Jon Bon Jovi’s Kings of Suburbia), Eddie Testa, Remember Jones, Pat Roddy and more!

  • The Nick Clemons Band – blues/funk rock with frontman, Nick Clemons a.k.a. Clarence Clemons III, oldest son of the late Clarence Clemons, celebrating the release of their new record, “We All Bleed the Same.”

  • Ricky Byrd – a Rock and Roll Hall of Famer from his years with Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, will be a very special guest, jamming with several of the featured bands.  Byrd does extensive charitable, musical work including performances at addiction rehab centers and with the annual Little Kids Rock Gala in New York City.

  • The show, which kicks off at 2:00 p.m. (full line-up below) and is expected to run until 1:00 a.m., will also feature guest jams and artist collaborations that are a long-time tradition at the Shore.

Nick Clemons states, “My father always taught me to ‘give back’ and remember the less fortunate.  I try to do that and CFC Loud N Clear and TOPAC do great work at a time that New Jersey still has its worst heroin epidemic ever.”

This is the 5th year that Clemons and his team have produced the Birthday Bash.  Co-producer/Terry Camp of BIG RoaD is an attorney and long-time member of the Jersey Shore music community.  He recalled, “When Clarence passed, Wonder Bar in Asbury Park hosted the Sensational Soul Cruisers and The Nick Clemons Band for a memorial show in July 2011. Bruce was kind enough to join us that epic night and we’ve been building on it since – selling out Wonder Bar in December 2012, packing Martell’s in Point Pleasant January 2014, and the last two years at Bar Anticipation.  The show gets bigger and bigger every year – and for the 5th Annual Bash, we’ve secured this incredible line-up.”

BIG RoaD’s Jesse Warren lost his brother, Scott Warren, to a heroin overdose on March 26th, 2015. Warren states, “The heroin addiction crisis in Monmouth and Ocean Counties has been building for many years and has, unfortunately, received national note.  We are all responsible to keep the issue front and center in our communities.”

About the Artists

Gary U.S. Bonds

As America’s baby boomers moved into their mid-teens, Gary began his professional career. For his first hit, “New Orleans,” attention was brought to the record by having promotional copies sent to radio stations in sleeves inscribed “Buy U.S. Bonds” – hence at age 19, Gary Anderson became Gary U.S. Bonds.

The follow-up was the now legendary “party” record, “Quarter to Three,” a number one hit with a spirit and energy that would eventually inspire and influence a generation.

A rare distinction for Gary is that he managed to transcend the decades with hits. His inspiration for Bruce Springsteen and Steven Van Zandt, who had grown up on Bonds’s music led to a chance meeting in 1980. A friendship developed and, shortly after, a musical collaboration which resulted in the “Dedication” and “On the Line” LPs, with singles: “This Little Girl Is Mine,” “Out of Work,” “Jole Blon” and “Daddy’s Come Home.”

While he has continued to perform, Gary also keeps active as a songwriter. His success as a songwriter even garnered him a nomination for the Country Music Association’s “Songwriter of the Year.”

Gary is an honoree of the Rhythm & Blues Foundation, a “favorite son” of the Blues Brothers and the Jersey Shore and a highly respected golfer, often invited to play at celebrity/PGA events.

John Cafferty

After a decade-long run on the Northeast music scene during which they became recognized as one of the best and most popular unsigned acts in the country, John Cafferty & The Beaver Brown Band broke through in a big way in 1983 with John’s score for the motion picture “Eddie & The Cruisers.” The soundtrack album reached #9 on the Billboard Top Albums chart and was certified Triple Platinum by the RIAA.  The soundtrack featured the band’s signature song, “On The Dark Side,” which went all the way to #7 on the Billboard Hot-100 and #1 on Billboard’s Rock Chart.  That success, coupled with the 1985 release of their follow-up album, “Tough All Over” and their second #1 Rock Track with the title song, gained them an international audience. The next single, “C-I-T-Y,” hit #18 and, altogether, the band placed ten tracks in the Hot 100.

Cafferty quickly earned a reputation as a soundtrack composer and his songs have appeared in “Jersey Girl,” “There’s Something About Mary,” Sylvester Stallone’s “Cobra” and “Rocky IV.”  He also composed the entire score for the “Eddie & The Cruisers” sequel, “Eddie Lives!”  Now forty years into their career, John Cafferty & The Beaver Brown Band remain a major concert attraction, appearing nationwide on an annual basis.

John Eddie

Virginia-born, New Jersey-raised and Nashville-based, John Eddie is a singer/songwriter/Shore performer legend who fronts a kick-ass combo called The Dirty Ol’ Band.  They play their own brand of deep-fried, gas-guzzling, heart-breaking, liver-killing rock ‘n roll, smothered in twang. John has shared the stage with the likes of Bruce Springsteen, U2, Bob Seger, Willie Nelson, Miranda Lambert, Jamey Johnson and many more. Along the way John Eddie has written a truckload of songs about God, Love, Sex, Drinking, F*cking, Growing Old, More Drinking, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Drinking. His songwriting talents were first discovered by superstar badass, Kid Rock, who cut his own versions of John’s songs, “Lowlife,” “F*cking Forty” and “Happy New Year.” Other artists soon followed in Rock’s footsteps and put their own spin on Eddie tunes, including Sammy Hagar (“Loud”), Brantley Gilbert (“More Than Miles”), Colt Ford & Keith Urban (“She’s Like”) and James Otto (“Love Don’t Cost a Thing”), just to name a few. John Eddie’s latest CD is “Same Old Brand New Me.”

The BIG RoaD All-Star Band

Created by Terry Camp and Jesse Warren from an August 13, 2015 40th Anniversary “Born to Run” show, this 10-piece, BIG All-Star band is backed by the best of the Jersey Shore including former Asbury Jukes, current (Jon Bon Jovi and the Kings of Suburbia members, and many local and national musicians and featured vocalists.

About CFC Loud N Clear

From the Family of Mark and Lynn Regan:  CFC Loud N Clear was developed in light of our family’s personal journey through addiction. In 2012 after many Intensive Outpatient Programs, several in-patient treatment centers and years of an uphill battle, we discovered the gaps in the system and realized a need for diverse programs of extended after care.  Daniel Regan developed an after-care system for himself with the help of his mother, Lynn Regan.  After a while, people started to want to know how they did it and wanted a recovery plan set up for themselves. The family decided from that point that everyone deserves access to an after-care program and they created CFC Loud N Clear. The first year after treatment is the most crucial year in someone’s recovery. CFC will help guide you through your first year and beyond. CFC Loud N Clear believes in providing many roads to recovery, thus giving our members many positive, proven options that resonate with them. We also recognized the need for safe, sober socialization and created a social calendar filled with fun, laugh-inducing activities. Daniel and Lynn Regan are highly involved in the field of prevention and saw the importance of giving back and preventing others from going down the wrong road. Thus, CFC got its name, Coming Full Circle.  We are proudly more than just a recovery program. CFC provides services for Prevention, Intervention and Recovery with a seamless integration of the three, making it a full circle.                       http://www.healingus.org/

Providing resources for clinical detoxification and recovery treatment for individuals whose lives have been saved by such an intervention. TOPAC’s founder, Paul Ressler, is a longtime advocate for addiction prevention, recovery, and treatment as well as an influential supporter of the Overdose Prevention Act (OPA) passed in May 2013.Mr. Ressler’s mission is simple and profound: to save lives and prevent the heartache that he knows so intimately. Corey Ressler, Mr. Ressler’s son lost his life to a drug overdose on July 14, 2010. Corey was only twenty-two years. His phone registered a 911 call but it had never been completed. http://overdosepreventionagency.com/
